2. The Drovers Inn
A original coaching inn, founded in 1705 , used years ago by Highland drovers when accompanying their cattle along the banks of Loch Lomond to the markets in the south of Scotland.
The coaching Inn born in Europe in the seventeenth century and were used for a period of 200 years. Structures were important for travelers. Served to provide accommodation and meals and refreshments to the men to their horses.

appears in the Guinness Book of Records as the most remote pub in Britain (excluding islands). But despite its remote location, is a surprisingly lively and busy!
There are no roads leading to the Knoydart peninsula. You can choose to walk for about 18 miles through the mountains or take a ferry or boat from Mallaig (8 miles) ... whatever the route chosen ... When you arrive at The Old Forge, you will understand immediately that it was worth it.
