A late nineteenth-century palace in the historic center of Lecce home the top floor of the apartment subject of this renovation and restyling.
The hosts, a young professional couple who love contemporary design and clean lines had expressed the wish that their new apartment, initially looking dark and decadent, making their new home reflect fully their lifestyle and their wishes.
The demands of customers have fully met the project proposals expressed by the architect, designed to preserve the historic shell of the building instead of intervening with a radical transformation of the interior styling in line with traditional conceptions of the architectural language and contemporary design, working on materials, color study, the study of light and furniture that are typical of modern life.
The apartment circa190 sqm on two levels, while retaining a provision interior layout unchanged for structural needs, saw the reconfiguration of the conversation area characterized by a mezzanine that overlooks the resettlement of the large kitchen that also sees in it the location of a pantry and a fully equipped laundry room, bedroom with adjoining walk in closet-dressing room passing through the master bathroom .
The entrance, with a spacious wardrobe enclosed by sliding doors in frosted ivory, leading directly to the conversation area, characterized by a backdrop of specially designed high-impact and designed to accommodate a television and the Inside the envelope for satellite system, DVD and media center.
One side of the room is occupied by a double sided fireplace covered with slabs of slate in shades of gray and red-orange. The living room has no doors and is directly connected by passageways open on one side to the study, whose main wall is identified by the large library with a fireplace made of masonry, and on the other side of the dining room characterized by the presence of internal staircase which leads to the second level, designed with transparent glass plates that serve as a parapet.
The dining room is directly connected to the kitchen, custom colors strong and bright. A small hallway to the bedroom disengaged with dressing room and through the first of two bathrooms in the home, the tones gray and cream. The second bathroom, instead attached directly to the living room is covered with mosaic tiles and slabs of resin and glass powder in shades of brilliant blue.

Great role has been assigned to the lighting that identifies with bright signs and lights spread all the different parts of the house.
The paving of the entire apartment is designed in white oak planks. The sliding doors are simple slabs of sandblasted ivory.
Particular attention has been paid to the study of colors: they adopted the mustard, creamy white, two shades of orange and gray, bright red, yellow, giving a strong personality to any interior space.
The interior is also a direct consequence of the new image of the apartment. They were chosen because sofas and armchairs as well as tables, chairs and tables with the primary purpose of combining the highly modern lines and comfort and functionality of the furnishings.
